LECO needed a complete redesign of the user interface for its widely used elemental analysis instrument. The goal was to create a simple, timeless design that could be easily adapted to various devices with different screen sizes and orientations. Additionally, the redesign had to include three distinct themes—dark, light, and legacy—to accommodate diverse user preferences and environments. The challenge was to ensure the UI remained functional and intuitive while meeting these varied design requirements.
Overview

To meet these needs, I collaborated with a fellow designer to craft a modern, adaptable interface. We developed new icons, buttons, color palettes, and style guides, ensuring that the design was not only visually appealing but also highly functional. The three themes—dark, light, and legacy—were meticulously tailored to fit different user environments. I also worked closely with the development team to create detailed stylesheets, which served as reference materials for seamless implementation across different devices and screen sizes.
